Dr Alia Kaderbhai graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2012. She also holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and a Diploma of Child Health. Prior to embarking on a career in medicine, Alia practiced as a speech pathologist in Brisbane and Glasgow. She was the Chair of the Breast Medicine Network for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for many years and is the GP Specialist Advisor for BreastScreen Victoria.

She has worked in a diverse range of specialised areas including emergency, paediatrics, ICU, general medicine antenatal and perinatal care as well as women’s health. She is particularly passionate about women’s health, preventative health and cancer survivorship. Alia is also an assistant surgeon for breast and endocrine surgery as well as general surgery.

Alia describes her approach as kind, compassionate and collaborative and always aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space for her patients.

Outside of work she enjoys travelling with her family and 2 young children, running, pilates and swimming.
