Kate became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018, having completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2004. She then worked as a doctor in a lively Emergency Department in Dublin for 2 years before returning home to many years of work and study in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory before commencing training in General Practice. She also works as a locum doctor regularly in Alexandra District Health service in rural Victoria and as a tutor of medical students at Monash University. Kate enjoys the wide variety of presentations within General Practice and supporting patients and their families over their lifetime, and is a firm supporter of reproductive rights.

In her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading, drinking wine and is slowly improving her tennis game.
