Dr Alia Kaderbhai
General Practitioner

Dr Alia Kaderbhai graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2012. She also holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and a Diploma of Child Health. Prior to embarking on a career in medicine, Alia practiced as a speech pathologist in Brisbane and Glasgow. She has been the Chair of the Breast Medicine Network for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for many years and is the GP Specialist Advisor for BreastScreen Victoria.

She has worked in a diverse range of specialised areas including emergency, paediatrics, ICU, general medicine antenatal and perinatal care as well as women’s health. She is particularly passionate about women’s health, preventative health and cancer survivorship. Alia is also an assistant surgeon for breast and endocrine surgery as well as general surgery.

Alia describes her approach as kind, compassionate and collaborative and always aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space for her patients.

Outside of work she enjoys travelling with her family and 2 young children, running, pilates and swimming.

Dr Ayesha Everitt
General Practitioner

Originally from Melbourne, Ayesha graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Medicine and Surgery from The University of Adelaide in 2010 followed by a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012. Ayesha became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2014, and completed a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2016. She has also completed training in Sexual and Reproductive Health with SHINA SA in 2014 and Travel Medicine at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2016. Ayesha has worked in multiple diverse settings across both metropolitan and rural Australia. She has also worked briefly in Nepal and Papua New Guinea, giving her an appreciation of the importance of public health and preventative medicine. Ayesha moved abroad in 2016 working with Kings College London teaching medical students and running the clinical simulation program. She has also been involved in medical education at both Monash University and the University of Melbourne. Ayesha enjoys the variety and challenges of general practice and is committed to evidence-based practice and to helping patients achieve their full health potential. She has a particular interest in women’s and children’s and travel medicine.

Outside of work, Ayesha enjoys spending time with her young family, her local cafés and parks. She is a keen musician, and enjoys hiking and exploring new areas of the world.

Dr James Sell

James was born in Melbourne but grew up in Brisbane. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree of Medicine and Surgery at The University of Queensland in 2013 and spent four years in the hospital system in Brisbane gaining a broad experience base. He moved to Melbourne to commence General Practitioner training and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in early 2020. 

Outside of medicine he enjoys running, hiking, and is a keen aviation enthusiast.

Dr Jamie Patel

Jamie grew up in Melbourne before moving to Queensland to study medicine. He completed his degree at Bond University in 2018 and spent the following years training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland Children’s hospital. Jamie transitioned into general practice in 2020 in which he enjoys employing a holistic approach to healthcare. Since his teenage years, he has had a particular interest in a healthy lifestyle and strives to promote this in most treatment plans.

Outside of medicine, Jamie enjoys playing tennis, cycling, weight lifting, hiking, skiing as well as all things coffee and food.

Dr Jane Foley
General Practitioner

Jane comes all the way from Ireland. She graduated in 2008 from University College Dublin. She moved to Australia in 2011 and trained to be a GP in Victoria. She spent many years in hospital medicine prior to becoming a GP gaining experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Paediatrics. She moved overseas to Singapore for a few years and has recently returned to Melbourne to put down some roots with her young family.

Outside of medicine she enjoys racing around after her kids, going for a run and dreaming about holidays.

Dr Justin Osborne
General Practitioner

Justin grew up in the Hunter Valley, completing a Bachelors Degree of Medicine at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2003. Having spent time training in a few areas of specialty, he decided on a career in general practice as he values building relationships with people. Justin believes strongly in providing the breadth, depth and longevity of medical care that only general practice allows. He welcomes people from all cultures and communities and works with people to empower them in taking charge of their own health. 

Justin is not accepting new patients.

Dr Katryna Zabidi
General Practitioner

Katryna was born in Malaysia, and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2010. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2017, having completed her training in country Victoria. Since then, she has been steadily working as a highly dedicated and motivated General Practitioner with a desire to provide high quality and holistic medical care to the community.

She is extremely passionate about LGBTQI+ health, Sexual Health Medicine including Sexual Health Screens and PrEP prescriptions, Women’s Health, Antenatal Care and Reproductive Health. She completed her FNAA Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health with Sexual Health Victoria and has a specialised interest in providing care and support to patients who are interested in starting a family, including periconception assessment and counselling. She is a fervent advocate for Women’s Health and our reproductive choices. Katryna is also passionate about Paediatric Medicine, Mental Health and Preventative Medicine. She strongly believes that the fundamental element of Preventative Medicine is empowering the patient with knowledge and practical tools to meet their health goals in a non judgemental and supportive environment. She also provides Shared Care with the Royal Women’s Hospital.

In her spare time, she has her hands full with an extremely rambunctious toddler. Like any other Malaysian, she has an encyclopedia-like knowledge of where to find excellent Malaysian food in Melbourne and is more than happy for you to ask her.

Dr Katryna Zabidi is currently on maternity leave, expecting to return in late 2024.

Dr Katy Simpson
General Practitioner

Katy is from Scotland and completed her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh before moving to London to train as a general practitioner at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust. Along the way she has worked in the Accident and Emergency department of St Thomas’ Hospital in London, and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital. After completing her GP training she has worked in a busy inner-city practice in London before moving to Melbourne in 2019. Katy enjoys all aspects of general practice, but has a particular interest in women’s health, sexual health, paediatrics and mental health. She has completed a diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health in London.

Outside of work Katy spends her spare time making the most of the Australian weather (even Melbourne is an improvement on the Scottish climate). She can be found most weekends surfing, running but mostly chasing after her little boy.

Dr Kay Tan

Kay was born in Malaysia and migrated to Melbourne with her family when she was 9 years old.  She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2004 and has been practicing at various hospitals around the city, including Austin Hospital and Northern Hospital.  She decided to head down the path of specializing as a GP because she enjoyed the diversity of medicine.

She enjoys providing long term care for people from all walks of life. She strongly believes in treating the whole person, not just a condition.  She values the trust that is given to her by her patients.  She is compassion, respectful and empathetic.  She enjoys all areas of medicine.

She is an avid crocheter, and enjoys travelling far and wide.

Dr Laura Chapman

Laura grew up in Scotland and graduated from Warwick Medical School in 2004. She gained extensive hospital experience prior to completing GP specialist training in 2008.

On moving to Melbourne in 2009 Laura initially worked at The Royal Women’s Hospital before returning to her passion, general practice. Laura is constantly expanding her skillset within women’s health and aims to improves accessibility to services in this field. She has a particular interest in pelvic pain and manages this collaboratively with in-house allied health practitioners. Laura has undertaken a certificate of women’s health, including a clinical component in urogynaecology. She enjoys teaching medical students and provides intra-uterine device insertion training to health professionals. Laura practices holistically and aims to be approachable to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Laura has two daughters and enjoys yoga, hiking and all things Melbourne.

Dr Menaka Sivakumar

Menaka was born and raised in Alberta, Canada where she completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta.  She moved to Brisbane and graduated with her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2017. Menaka has completed her medical residency training in Queensland at various hospitals finishing with her General Practice training in Rockhampton, QLD.

Menaka is passionate about working in collaboration with patients to meet their health and wellness goals. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and especially enjoys preventative health, mental health and women and children’s health.

Since Menaka is new to Melbourne, she is planning to spend her free time exploring our city!

Dr Sophie Mancey-Jones

Sophie has over 30 years’ experience of general practice in the UK and Australia. She grew up in the north of England and graduated from Newcastle  University in 1986 before moving to London to complete her GP training. She spent a few years working as a general medical officer in Zimbabwe and with Karen refugees on the Thai Burmese border. She returned to London to study for an MPH and went on to work for 10 years as a GP partner in South London. In 2008 she moved to Melbourne with her Australian husband and young children and worked in the Yarra Valley for 5 years supporting the local community traumatised by the bushfires of 2009. She has been working in Fitzroy since 2014. Sophie believes in holistic patient-centred care, enjoys offering continuation of care and feels honoured to work with and learn from her patients over time.

She enjoys getting out into the country – cycling and hiking, and loves a good book, theatre going, live music and cinema.

Dr Terri Cluse

Terri is from South Australia and graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2001. After completing her internship, she moved to Scotland where she worked for 5 years, completing her MRCGP in Glasgow in 2007, as well as gaining a Diploma in Family Planning in 2006. She then lived and worked in London for 2 years. Terri has worked extensively in Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine in Australia and Scotland. She has worked for several years as a GP in the UK and Australia, having settled in Melbourne in 2013.

Terri has a special interest in mental health, including ADHD, dermatology, women’s health and travel medicine. She describes her style as thorough and kind, priding herself on being a good listener, with the needs of her patients being her top priority.

In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, pilates and travelling.

Jacquie Holt
Registered Nurse

Before moving to Melbourne with her family in 2018, Jacquie lived in California and Colorado, USA. She has been working in healthcare since 2008 and has been a registered nurse since 2016. She has background in many areas of healthcare including inpatient hospital, ICU, pediatrics, women’s care, wound care, infection control and immunisations, and pathology. Jacquie has certifications in adult and pediatric advanced life support, advanced wound care, pathology, nurse Immuniser, and cosmetic injectables.

In her spare time Jacquie enjoys spending time with her family bike riding, playing tennis, hiking, camping, and travelling.

Sabrina is from New Zealand and obtained her registered nursing degree in 2019, making the move to Melbourne recently.

Sabrina has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including rehabilitation, aged care, cosmetic nursing and was previously a nurse manager within the community.

Sabrina believes in focusing on the whole person when caring for her patients and is passionate about providing exceptional care, and enthusiasm towards her practice. She has always had a genuine interest in all people’s health and wellbeing and is dedicated to achieving high standards for her patients.

In her free time, Sabrina loves exploring the outdoors; snowboarding, camping, travel, playing netball, reading and socialising with family and friends.

Georgia provides a compassion filled, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their challenges with food, eating and body image, and is committed to empowering and inspiring her clients. She is passionate about supporting people who experience disordered eating, eating disorders, and those wishing to improve their relationship with food and their body. Georgia also assists clients in managing gut issues including IBS, and a variety of conditions including diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Georgia is committed to providing evidence based, collaborative, nurturing and client-centred care, and her skills lie in building client confidence, capacity and autonomy. Following a non-diet, health at every size approach, Georgia assists clients to listen to and respect their body’s hunger and fullness signals to foster calm, mindful and intuitive eating experiences. Georgia is available for in person and telehealth consultations.

Jordan Burke

Jordan is a Health at Every Size aligned Dietitian and Nutritionist. Jordan believes it is crucial to understand the unique circumstances of every client that she sees, and strives to make people feel safe, respected and understood. She recognises how difficult it can be to change eating behaviours, so she aims to meet her clients where they are, and provides guidance when ready to take steps towards their goals.

Jordan’s special interests include eating disorders, disordered eating, gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS, IBD and coeliac disease, sports nutrition, and women’s health including PCOS, endometriosis and fertility. She is also well versed in assisting patients with food allergies and intolerances, diabetes (GDM, type 1 and 2), heart disease, high blood pressure and kidney diseases.

Joe Henderson

Podiatrist

Joe graduated as a podiatrist from the University of Newcastle in 2014. In the years following,  Joe worked across various private clinical settings in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Melbourne and regional Victoria, allowing him to develop a wide scope of practice.  In these positions, Joe refined his clinical skills through ongoing clinical development, utilising the latest treatment modalities and undertaking professional development opportunities.

Joe takes an empathetic approach to treatment and understands the importance of tailored management. Matthew Haines
General Manager

Matthew is a Richmond local who enjoys immersing himself in the diverse range of cultures that comprises Melbourne. He graduated University with Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine) in 2008. After a while in the health industry, he followed his passion for hospitality and has worked in some of Australia’s most successful and renowned venues, focusing most recently on wine and tourism.

Matthew enjoys and is skilled at venue management, business development and marketing, with a strong emphasis on both brand development and customer experience. He is a lover of Melbourne and is a proponent of our wonderful food and dining scene. He is an active amateur Crossfitter and loves the great outdoors. Matthew joined Collingwood Medical from the days of concept and helped to drive and guide its development. Matthew is a kind and approachable manager, proud of leading our excellent team.
